"My association with Goldsmith Medical goes back over ten years. I first worked with them when the place I was Director of Care, Carlingview Manor, had four residents who required dialysis trips three times per week. I would watch them sit and wait for their transportation to pick them up with sad faces and ready for a long trip as they were not the only folks travelling on the transport service being provided. I realized quickly that this had to change.

I researched and discovered that the Ministry (under the high-intensity program) pays for transportation for dialysis residents, and I followed the process and eventually met with Goldsmith Medical. I watched the transformation in the dialysis residents as they went from sadly waiting for their ride to sitting waiting at the front door for the friendly driver from Goldsmith. At Christmas time, that friendly driver made a trip to see the Christmas lights for these dialysis residents on their return trip to Carlingview Manor and had Christmas pictures taken of every one of them. Since then, I continue to watch a team of drivers who consistently treat the residents with respect and dignity at both Peter D Clark and Villa Marconi.

Oh, by the way, the "driver' that I met at Carlingview Manor was Gordon Goldsmith. He continues to train his team with customer service standards that meet and exceed every expectation that I adhere to myself for dignified and quality resident care.
